Broncos Advance to Super Bowl 50

The Denver Broncos are headed to Super Bowl 50 to take on the Carolina Panthers (Feb. 7, 6:30 ET, CBS). The Broncos beat the New England Patriots 20-18 in the AFC Championship Game to advance to their 8th Super Bowl in franchise history. Denver has two championships (1997-98) and most recently appeared in Super Bowl XLVIII, but lost to Seattle.

Led by future HOF QB Peyton Manning, the Broncos beat a Patriots team that many favored to win. I personally thought Denver would win given Peyton's drive to win another ring in what could be his final season, NE's struggles in Denver and Tom Brady's poor postseason road record (3-4). Denver controlled most of the game and intercepted Brady's two-point attempt at the end that would've tied the game. Denver's special teams then recovered an onside kick by New England and that sealed it.

KEY PERFORMERS
QB Peyton Manning: 17/32, 145 YDs, 2 TDs
RB CJ Anderson: 16 ATT, 72 YDs
WR Emmanuel Sanders: 5 REC, 62 YDs
DE Von Miller: 2.5 sacks, 1 INT, 4 tackles
