Broncos LT Ryan Clady, who will miss Super Bowl 50 due to a torn ACL suffered in May, is willing to rework his deal, according to Arnie Stapleton of the AP. As PFR notes, Clady signed a 5-year, $52.5MM deal prior to the 2013 season, but has only played in 18 games since. Clady played in only two games in 2013 before undergoing Lisfranc (foot) surgery. He was healthy for all of 2014 but has missed all of 2015.
Clady, the longest current tenured Bronco, was drafted 12th overall in 2008 by Denver and has been one of the best OTs since then. Up until his recent injury problems, he was also one of the most durable OTs, having never missed a game until 2013. Ryan, 29, is on the books for $9.5MM in 2016, so he is a prime restructure candidate.
With Peyton Manning possibly retiring after Super Bowl 50, the Broncos may have a young QB under center in the 2016 season and Clady's experience will be invaluable. Whether it is Manning, Brock Osweiler (who is a free agent this offseason), or youngster Trevor Siemian, Clady will most definitely be a huge asset in 2016.
