Ranking the Super Bowls, #19: Super Bowl XLIV

Super Bowl XLIV was played on Feb. 7, 2010 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, FL. The game was between the Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints. The Colts were in the Super Bowl for the third time in franchise history as were looking for their second win. The Saints were in their first Super Bowl. T

The Colts got off to a 10-0 lead, but two Saints field goals made the score 10-6 at halftime. The Saints kicked off the second half with a surprise onside kick, which they recovered. They would take the lead on a screen pass touchdown to Pierre Thomas.

With a 24-17 lead, the Saints defense stepped up big time to clinch the game when Tracy Porter returned an interception for a touchdown. The Saints won by a final score of 31-17 for their first ever title.
