Ranking the Super Bowls, #27: Super Bowl XXI

Super Bowl XXI featured the Denver Broncos and the New York Giants. The Broncos had already lost a Super Bowl when they fell to the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl XII. The Giants were in their first ever Super Bowl.

It was a tight game through two quarters, and the Broncos led the Giants 10-9 at halftime. After that, however, the Giants went on a scoring run, scoring the next 29 points. They would wind up winning the game by a final score of 39-20.

Quarterback Phil Simms, the game's MVP, threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns. John Elway threw for 304 yards and just one touchdown with one interception.
