Chiefs Void Tamba Hali's Contract

Tamba Hali will become a free agent come Wednesday, when the NFL free agency period begins. The Kansas City Chiefs had until March 4 to resign Tamba Hali to another contract, but failed to do so. No matter what happens with Hali, the Chiefs will have a cap hit of $4 million.

This now leaves them with $18 million roughly for Kansas City to work with instead of the $22 million that they did have. The six-time Pro Bowler will now be eligible for any team to sign.  Hali finished the 2015 season with 48 tackles and 6.5 sacks.
