Jared Goff = Rams Starting QB?

Jared Goff, the first overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, appears to be on track to start the regular season for the Los Angeles Rams.

The Rams head coach, Jeff Fisher, has offered nothing but praise for Goff's performance since the draft and at the teams rookie minicamp, Goff has either met or surpassed expectations.

"He's doing a great job picking up our offense," Fisher said, according to the Rams official website. "We've given him a lot more information than we did at the private workout and then that we did here at our meeting, and he's handled it without any problems. And that's the important thing."

Coach Fisher said Goff is putting the time in thus far to be great.

"I passed him last night walking to the room and he was leaving the meeting room at 10 o'clock," Fisher added. "He's that kind of guy. He'll spend the time. It's important to him."

Goff has had trouble connecting on all of his passes Fisher acknowledged, but feels it because Goff is ahead of where his teammates are.

"A little frustrating at times for him because he's setting the back foot and getting ready to go, and we're running half-speed routes," Fisher said. "So if you see balls hit the ground or things like that, its because we're encouraging the skill players not to run full speed."

Jared Goff isn't the first, nor would he'd be the last rookie quarterback to be talked up by his coaches. We shouldn't expect to hear anything positivity out of Rams camp until the regular season arrives.

Only then, will Goff finally face live fire, we'll he have an accurate idea of how ready he is for life on an NFL level.
