The Story of the 2015 Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings season might have ended on that cold January day, but it was so much more than that.  They have a young team for the most part, Peterson came back in 2016 and played pretty much how you would expect Peterson to play.  He rushed for almost 1,500 yards and 11 touchdowns. Teddy Bridgewater shows promise for a young quarterback and with a solid receiving corp they could be pretty dangerous next season.

The Vikings finished at the top of the NFC North after beating Green Bay during the final week of the season.  The Vikings weakness on offense looks to be their receiving group and they struggled in 2015 but the showed signs of life like rookie Stefon Diggs had a handful of insanely good weeks where he balled out. He came crashing down around week 11 however, hopefully the Vikings get more consistency out of Diggs all season.

Mike Wallace seems like a shell of his former self and was not very effective as a Viking.  The Vikings seem to still be trying to find a way to make Cordarrelle Patterson work but to no effect. I expect the Vikings to look to a receiver in the upcoming draft.

The 2015 season showed promise to a bright future though.  The Vikings, for the most part, are a young team and they will be fun to watch.  Plus they have a future Hall of Famer in Adrian Peterson lined up in their backfield for at least another season.

Minnesota is about to debut their brand new stadium as well and will love to open up that stadium with good seasons and keep it jammed pack of happy fans.  Be ready for Sunday night, Sept. 18, it will be a night game against the Packers to open up the new Vikings stadium.  It has potential to be the start of a tough NFC North division battle.
