The Story of the 2015 Tennessee Titans

The Titans picked former Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota with the #2 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. The Titans were hoping to get back on track after a record in 2014. Unfortunately, for the Titans, they went from the #2 overall pick to the #1 overall pick.

Mariota led the Titans to a win over #1 overall pick Jameis Winston and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with four touchdown passes in the first half in Week 1. From then on out, it went all downhill. The Titans would lose 14 of their final 15 games after the win in Tampa. The lone other win they got was a shootout against their AFC South rival Jacksonville Jaguars.

It appears the biggest problem was Mariota not having the protection he needed to be a stellar quarterback. It looked as if the Titans would draft OT Laremy Tunsil from Ole Miss with the first overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Now, however, they own the 15th overall pick after trading the first overall pick to the now Los Angeles Rams.

They won't likely be able to get Tunsil at 15, but they do have many picks in the draft, and if the Titans were smart, they would look into upgrading the offensive line.
